Admission Procedures for New Students
Parents interested in enrolling a student in Calvary Christian Academy should follow these steps:
1 > School Visit + Interview
There are several ways to visit the school. A prospective student is invited to attend a half-day of school prior to filling out the application. We also welcome you to schedule a tour of our facilities and visit a classroom. Open Houses are held in October for our Early Education Program, and in February for the entire school.
Take a Tour
Would you like to take a tour of our facility? Call the CCA office at 309-452-7912 or email Jennifer McCoskey, our Office Administrator, to schedule a tour!
2 > Application
The Steps to Admission are given below. There are minor differences for various grade levels. The following forms must be submitted:
- Student Information Sheet
- Student Evaluations Form (9th-12th Grades)
- Reference Form(s)
-
- 1 References for grades K5-5
- 2 References for grades 6-12
-
Submit the information listed above to the CCA School Office or via email to Jennifer.
3 > Submit Records
Submit a copy of your student’s most-recent report card and most-recent standardized test scores (for grades 1-9 only), and a copy of your student’s transcript (for grades 10-12 only). Include any prior IEP or 504 plans from previous schools attended. Please note that Calvary Christian Academy may not be equipped to meet all special education needs.
4 > Placement Testing
The need for placement testing will be determined on a case-by-case basis. If placement testing is needed, you will be contacted by a school representative to schedule an appointment for testing. If an IEP or 504 is needed for a prospective student, the school Learning Specialist will be a part of the testing process.
5 > Final Acceptance
Parents will be notified by email after all documents are in place and the school Administrator has made a final decision on enrollment of the student.*
6 > Final Steps After Acceptance
Once a student has been accepted at Calvary Christian Academy, certain forms will need to be complete and/or submitted. These forms are listed below.
